Barangay San Pedro
HISTORY
Barangay San Pedro is the capital barangay of Morong, Rizal. This barangay lies adjacent with the Laguna Bay in the east, bounded at the south with the town of Cardona, on the west by Barangay Bombongan and on the north by Barangay San Jose and Barangay San Juan. It has a total land area of 368.97 hectares.
As a poblacion barangay, the seats of Local Government of Morong are located here. It also has many establishment such as Morong Public Market, Sea Oil Gasoline Station, Fil-Oil Gasoline Station, Mini Stop, UCPB Savings Bank, Era Plaza Garden Restaurant, Arena de Morong and other local establishments.
Barangay San Pedro is the center of education in Morong. Many educational institutions are found here such as; San Pedro Day Care Center, RICCC, Mapa Prime Academy, School of St. Claire of Assisi, Jesus My Shepherd Montesorri School, Renaissance School of Science and Technology, EAST System Colleges of Rizal, Morong Kabalikat Learning Center and Timoteo A. Reyes Sr. Memorial Elementary School.
