Formerly known as Morong Town Plaza. For a long time, this Plaza was the venue for town’s annual sports league. On 2010, the place was converted to a park where you can witness one of the arts of Mr. Pacheco, “Ang Pamilyang Magsasaka” sculpture. Also, a statue of Tomas Claudio was placed. Claudio is the first Filipino hero who died during the WW1 in Germany fighting for world peace.
Located in Barangay San Pedro, formerly known as the Town Plaza is just in front of Morong’s old Municipal Building. This building was the former seat of the office of the governor of Rizal during the Distrito Politica de Morong, also known as the “Commandancia”. The Park includes statues of famous people, one of them was Tomas Claudio, a war hero during World War I. He fought during the war when he was sent to Cantigy, France and the Tomas Claudio Memorial School was established as a tribute to him on 1921. Also, one of the masterpieces of the Father of Palm and Finger Painting, Mr. Rafael Pacheco’s “Ang Pamilyang Magsasaka” sculpture.
